Job Summary:

Michelin, the World-wide leader in Tires, with a commercial presence in over 170 Countries, is recruiting for a Mechanical Reliability Engineer. If selected for this position, you will receive personalized training in this area to prepare you for work in our Anderson, SC (US2) facility.

The Reliability Engineer focuses on providing maintenance and reliability engineering expertise for various types of production equipment

Responsibilities:
- Mechanical Maintenance Duties: Interpersonal, hands-on role includes shutdown planning and first-hand participation in shutdown project work.
- Carries out common engineering practices: blueprint reading and creation, documentation, AutoCAD, environmental practices.
- Reliability Project Management: Writes project justifications and technical specifications, guides project teams, chooses vendors, acquires parts, schedules installations, and trains personnel.
- Reliability Engineer for Process Equipment: Maximizes the up-time of production equipment through problem definition, root cause analysis, preventive/predictive maintenance management (infrared imagery, vibration analysis, oil analysis, and ultrasonic), spare parts optimization, etc.
- Coaches troubleshooters and maintenance personnel.

Qualifications

Requirements:
- Experience in managing equipment reliability, projects, and automation.
- BS (preferred Mechanical Engineering), AS in engineering technology or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
- Mechanical/Electrical proficiency with a mechanical aptitude (hands-on ability to disassemble and reassemble manufacturing equipment).
- Needs to have a good working proficiency in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), like Maximo, BMA, etc.
- Needs to be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
- Interpersonal skills.
- Supervisory experience a plus.
