THE OPPORTUNITY

Michelin is hiring a B2B Inside Sales / Virtual Sales Account Executive who will be responsible for selling value-added product & service solutions to commercial fleets & tire dealers located in the Rocky Mountain area.  Through virtual account management, you will develop an assigned business portfolio by growing share with existing customers and converting qualified leads and cold calls into new business opportunities. Anchored by Salesforce.com, you will interact primarily in a remote or virtual manner using digital sales tools and best practices.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

  • Work remotely within a defined geographic territory to close sales, win business, and develop relationships to reach sales and profitability goals.  Majority of time selling will be home-office based with limited travel.
  • Customer field visits, training, and team meetings will require approximately 10%-15% travel.
  • Your focus will be on commercial transportation companies with fleets ranging from 20 to 1,000+ vehicles.
  • Close sales by recommending the right solutions to help prospective clients understand the real needs of their businesses, while working with the relevant dealer channel partners to execute the sale.
  • Establish yourself as a trustworthy and credible solutions provider by connecting with existing account portfolio and soon-to-be clients and forging partnerships virtually and occasionally in-person with key decision makers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on a regular basis who will partner with you as you pursue and secure new business.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Reside in the Phoenix, AZ, Salt Lake City, UT or Denver, CO area. 
  • Bi-lingual (English-Spanish) capabilities preferred, but not required.
  • Motivated, high-energy, self-starter with effective time management skills and bringing a natural curiosity with a positive can-do attitude.
  • Business-to-business (B2B) sales experience, preferably inside sales, within a results-driven environment.
  • Own, grow and develop business relationships with your assigned customer portfolio for the long-term mutual benefit of the Customer and Michelin.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse prospects.
  • Demonstrated cold calling sales ability with an assertive, positive, and persistent style.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as being a collaborative team member.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a home-based office environment.
  • Understands the importance of and demonstrates the ability to document activities, preferably with experience in using Salesforce.com CRM.
