US0 Central Engineering Headquarters: Come join our growing team of mechanical, electrical, automation, and IT engineers at our Central Engineering headquarters, located at the Donaldson Campus in Greenville, South Carolina.  Our team of Engineers is responsible for the successful implementation of major capital projects throughout North and South America.  These state-of-the-art projects relate to new and upgraded material handling, material preparation, tire-building, and curing processes at our Manufacturing Facilities throughout the U.S., Mexico, Brazil, and Canada. 

MISSION:

In his/her field of activity, design and make available the equipment requested by the process governance responding to the need for product performance and industrial performance and the best ratio performance / cost.

Manage the design in accordance with the best practices of his/her business (internal standards, external standards, quality system, capitalization, archiving) in collaboration with all the professions concerned.

Pilot the realization, installation and commissioning. Obtain the industrial robustness milestone (P3) of the process in the case of prototypes.

In the case of equipment deployment, carry out the preliminary projects, pilot the deployment studies (specific and / or integration), participate in the realization, installation and commissioning of equipment.

During the first 6-9 months of employment the job is fixed to a site, after that the final position can be located at any other Plant or Central Engineering Team (which will require to travel around 30% of time).

EXPECTATIONS:

• Conduct pre-studies to define the most efficient solutions.

• Capture internal requirements and establish the associated specification documents.

• The quality system and the methods of its group are implemented (risk analyzes, FMEA, design reviews, quality planning, technical documentation, treatment of Non-Conformities, etc.).

• Feasibility studies are carried out with challenged and validated specifications, the possible solutions are evaluated from the point of view of costs, deadlines, risks, functional choice criteria.

• Action plans necessary for risk management are carried out and monitored (calculations, simulation, tests, etc.).

• The feasibility solutions are designed in cooperation with the other business lines concerned.

• Validations (Installation Conformity and Functional Reception) are obtained after the phases of realization, installation, start-up and development of the equipment made in collaboration with related trades of the industry.

• Up-to-date records for: availability of OTG-OTS and releases; the processing of requests for evolutions, nonconformities and obsolescence; the respect of the regulation.

• Homologation, qualification and industrial robustness of the equipment are demonstrated.

• Intellectual Property (IP) is processed. The necessary patents are filed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering

Preferred 2-5 years of professional experience in a similar role or 5-7 years in the Manufacturing Maintenance area

Must possess PLC programming competency in all Rockwell platforms and ability to program communications between PLC platforms and Level 2 computer systems. (Siemens knowledge is a plus)

Outstanding technical expertise for all electrical related components to include:  Various types of sensors, Controls(PLC), Motors, Drives, HMI Operator Interfaces, Power Distribution

Proven track record of project management capabilities.

Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously - Attention to detail is critical!

Must be a team player with a positive attitude

Self-motivated, capable of performing tasks with minimal supervision.

Ability to work well under pressure and handle strict deadlines.

Strong organizational skills.
