We have two positions available for this role.

Our current offices are in Laval and Magog. However, Michelin has exciting plans to expand and open a new office in the Montreal area. As part of this anticipated expansion, within the next 18 months, the workplace for this position will eventually be relocated to our new offices in the Montreal Metropolitan area.

Your role:

The selected candidates will be the voice of the market within the Off-Road business line management. Their mission will be to gather and analyze market information, build an understanding of current dynamics, and construct various possible scenarios for future development. By sharing these elements with the management team, they will play a key role in steering the business line.

We need you for:

  • Gather, structure and analyze quantitative market data and the company's past market penetration.
  • Explain and justify market trends, performance and forecasts in relation to strategy and objectives, linking data trends, observations and ideas.
  • Recommend corrective marketing actions for the short and/or long term.
  • Develop and regularly update market forecasts and identify short-term (<18 months) and/or long-term (>18 months) threats, opportunities and trends.
  • Formalize requirements to continuously improve the automation of data collection, processing, consultation and dashboarding, as well as the modelling of market forecasts.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis of a market segment or opportunity.

What do you need to possess for being successful?

  • You have a bachelor's degree in marketing, administration or finance and 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • You are at ease in a bilingual environment (French and English), so you can communicate both orally and in writing with your colleagues and our international partners.
  • You know how to develop, implement and use tools that enable you to keep abreast of ongoing market developments (digital culture).
  • You can perform a variety of quantitative analyses (analytical thinking, data mining and analysis).
  • You are comfortable presenting reports to different levels of interlocutors (data visualization and presentation).
  • You enjoy building clear, synthetic stories from data and providing advice on key decisions (data visualization and presentation).
  • You are proficient in tools such as Excel, CRM, PowerBi, Microstrategy (KBI) and dashboards (digital literacy) and can deal with defined sectoral and commercial issues (Market Intelligence).
  • You are occasionally available to visit our colleagues in Europe.
