The Opportunity

We are looking for a Customer Supply Chain Manager. The position reports to the B2C Supply Chain Director. This is an opportunity to drive greater collaboration and transformation with our key customers through innovative ways of working.

What you’ll do

This position will be the central owner of strategic supply chain collaboration with assigned customers, developing a shared vision for supply chain excellence, and coordinating with internal partners to deliver the multi-year roadmap. Key deliverables will be focused on driving profitable growth, joint value creation, improving customer experience, enhancing supply visibility, and optimizing cost-to-serve!

Establish a great foundation for collaborative joint value creation in Supply Chain , specifically:

  • Builds an ongoing collaborative relationship with senior-level supply chain leadership teams of selected customers.
  • Develops a shared future-state supply chain vision (i.e. Polar Star); with roadmap to deliver these results.
  • Establishes governance and communication platform for Michelin and main partners to exchange Supply Chain initiatives, Supply Chain trends, major projects, and critical metrics.
  • Serves as main point of contact for critical initiatives that require heavy Supply Chain involvement and customer engagement.

Ensure clarity and alignment on the objectives, specifically:

  • Define the objectives expected from joint value creation initiatives upfront, and how they will be captured and reported.
  • Monitor the progress vs. expected execution breakthroughs and make the necessary course corrections to ensure initiatives are delivered on time.
  • Partners with customer and logistics strategy team to drive optimization of the network design of the shared Supply Chain, delivering cost to serve optimizations all.
  • Partners with commercial roles (Sales Account Manager) to develop alignment.
  • Highlight cost and other benefits for both companies — ensure that wins are known, and challenges communicated positively to team members in both organizations.
  • Be the advocate of customer supply chain needs while understanding limitations within Michelin and vice versa. Consider these within the context of the shared supply chain so that initiatives benefit both companies.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA/MS in Supply Chain focus preferred
  • At least 7 years of proven experience in Supply Chain and/or related field

Location:

  • Job will be based in Greenville, SC. Relocation assistance provided.

Travel: travel could be up to 25%
