Michelin has an immediate opening for an Employee Engagement Communication Manager at our Headquarters in Greenville, S.C.

As Employee Engagement Communication Manager, you will join a team where we adapt the Group’s internal communication strategy to the unique context and challenges of the North American region. This role will ensure the effective execution and risk management of communication initiatives to strengthen employee engagement and support both Group and regional business objectives.
What You Will Do:
Strategy & Planning
• Deploy and localize the Group’s internal communication plan within the North American scope.
• Contribute to planning internal communication strategies at the global and regional levels.
• Collaborate with the VP of Strategy and Business Development to align messaging with business priorities.
• Compare strategies to standard methodologies used internally and externally.
Employee Engagement
• Understand employee needs and develop targeted engagement and communication initiatives.
• Identify and address communication gaps; adjust strategies based on employee feedback.
• Highlight team contributions and promote key change initiatives through storytelling and internal campaigns.
• Advise project leaders on engagement tactics and change communications.
Content Development & Editorial
• Partner with the Director of Editorial Content to maintain a relevant and engaging editorial calendar.
• Liaise with local communication managers to represent industrial and affiliate sites.
• Manages content and strategy for the North American region intranet in partnership with Canadian communication colleague, and ensuring content is translated for French-Canadian audiences.
Digital Communication
• Use digital tools (SharePoint, Yammer, Sway, PowerApps, Stream) to enhance employee engagement.
• Integrate AI tools where applicable and collaborate with digital experts across the Group.
• Develop and track analytics to measure internal communication performance and improve channel strategy.
Event Management
• Lead planning and communication for internal events (e.g., steering committees, project meetings).
• Translate business strategies into engaging event messaging.
• Ensure consistency in branding and message delivery during events.
Brand & Reputation Management
• Uphold brand standards across all internal communication activities.
• Support the Company’s brand architecture and reinforce its positioning to employees.
What You Will Bring:
• A bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Business, or a related field.
• 5- 10 years of experience in a communications role is required.
