We are excited to add a Process Technician to our team in Emporia, Kansas. This role will support our Apollo expansion project.

KEY EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Provide Support to Operations Teams: Based on the needs identified by operations and engineering teams, maintenance, and external surveys, collaborate with and equip teams with the necessary methods, references, tools, and platforms essential for activities and maintenance, ensuring compliance with associated standards.
  • Support Design Reviews: Assist teams in conducting design reviews to ensure that solutions align with the best value and adhere to high design quality standards.
  • Technology Monitoring and Standard Evolution: Actively monitor technological advancements and changes in external standards, anticipating risks of obsolescence, and participating in the development of alternative solutions as needed.
  • Needs Analysis and Standardization: Analyze and define standardization protocols for architectures, components, and functions to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Provide Training: Deliver training sessions tailored to development needs ensuring that personnel are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Subcontractor Competence Assurance: Ensure the competence of subcontractors by overseeing their training and evaluating their ability to deliver products and services that meet company requirements and standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 5-10 years of experience in maintenance, process, or technical roles within a manufacturing environment, demonstrating a strong understanding of industry practices and standards.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in PLC programming, with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and resolve technical issues efficiently. Capable of interpreting and comprehending technical drawings, electrical schematics, and hydraulic diagrams.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, for data analysis, documentation, and presentation purposes.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Organizational Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
