KEY EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Construct and implement programs aiming at primary, secondary and tertiary prevention of psychosocial ill-health.
  • Liaise with Srilanka Occupational Health Physician and Srilanka & Vietnam Ergonomist to identify areas for improvement in psychosocial health.
  • Handle substance abuse cases with the guidance from Service Personnel team (HR) and implementation of psychosocial programs in collaboration with Service Personnel (HR)  domain and subject specialists in Ergonomics & Industrial Hygiene.
  • Conduct surveys and studies relating to psychosocial status as directed.
  • Preparation of psychosocial educational materials when required & Provide in-service presentations to staff as needed.
  • Provide psychosocial health education for identified risk groups and individual employees.
  • Coach employees and managers to address mental health concerns and underlying behavioral issues and to adjust their behaviors.
  • Develop / expand both private sector and government sector psychosocial therapy referral network.
  • Carryout psychosocial interventions for individuals and groups as directed.
  • Provide referrals when necessary for additional care, evaluation, or treatment.
  • Participate and provide inputs in QVT, DEI and other psychosocial programs advocated by the company.
  • Review the psychosocial program regularly and suggest improvements.         
  • Liaise with ergonomist and Industrial hygienist to drive Ergonomic and IH programs across the sites.
  • Conduct training programs for employees on Ergonomics and IH
  • Share good practices in Ergonomics and IH across the sites.
  • Contribution to the team communication plan.
  • Act as an internal auditor and participate to carry out ISO 14001 internal audits.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science, Psychology or equivalent qualification.
  • Professional qualification in Occupational Health & Safety.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ of demonstrated experience in relevant areas.
  • Experience in Counseling would be a definite advantage.
  • Capacity for conducting internal audits according to the ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001.
  • Strong communication & presentation skills plus computer literacy
  • You have excellent organizational, Planning, and coordination skills along with good verbal presentation, group dynamic, and facilitation skills.
  • Capacity to support, explain, coach with high self-awareness.
  • Capacity to manage pressure and to keep independence in the decision.
