Michelin has openings for engineering internships in Manufacturing, Quality, and Industry 4.0 in Greenville, SC.

Jumpstart your career at our PRIME facility, where our products are known for setting lap records, and the site is known for innovation!  PRIME’s market niche is ultra-high-performance tires, with customers including Corvette, Mercedes, Ford Mustang, Tesla, Lucid, Rivian, Cadillac, and motorsports racing.

We are seeking innovative students who want to be part of a team with a winning spirit and have:

  • In-progress Engineering or Science Degree related to manufacturing, design, quality, or Industry 4.0.
    • Examples:  ME, Automotive Eng, IE, EE, Computer Science, Data Science
  • Skills including (or willing to learn):  Data analysis, lean manufacturing, six sigma, engineering design, Industry 4.0
  • Software skills (or willing to learn):  Python, PowerBI, OSIPi, Solidworks, Catia
  • Creative, adaptive, problem-solving mindset
  • Desire to be a leader

Students will lead and manage an involved, cross functional project aligned with facility goals, where various tools will be used to analyze data to improve quality, safety, and operational performance.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

  • Provide leadership, support, and direction to empower wage production operators to achieve their common objectives.
  • Work effectively with maintenance, quality, and other cross functional teams to meet daily/annual performance goals and continuous improvement/progress efforts.
  • Monitor the short and long-term needs of the facility to ensure succession needs are met and employees are afforded opportunities for development and career growth.
  • Facilitate the identification and implementation of process and team improvements.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING

  • A willingness to work in an industrial plant environment (Monday-Friday on day shift).
  • The ability to interact in a professional manner with external partners, suppliers, customers, and colleagues.
  • Success in working with other people or team to meet a common objective.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office® Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn other software systems.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Currently enrolled full time at an accredited four-year college or university.
  • US citizen, permanent resident or otherwise authorized to work for Michelin on an ongoing, indefinite basis. This position is not available for immigration sponsorship.
