Job Title:  Shipping    

 

Essential Functions

  • Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMV) and warehouse equipment, including forklifts, to support material movement, shipping, and receiving operations.

  • Inspect overflow storage areas at the beginning of each shift and properly store floor‑placed materials into designated racks to maintain safe and organized work areas.

  • Monitor accumulators for each Extrusion line and transport completed pallets to storage racks or shipping locations in accordance with established procedures.

  • Prepare finished pallets for shipment from Extrusion Line 4 and Finishing operations, ensuring load stability, accuracy, and compliance with shipping requirements.

  • Prepare bonding gum for shipment following handling, packaging, and transportation standards.

  • Receive inbound materials including Racemic from MRT, returned materials, slab rubber, miscellaneous freight, and cement pallets. Verify deliveries and store materials in designated locations, including flammable liquids storage areas, in compliance with safety regulations.

  • Remove prep rolls from Extrusion lines to support continuous production flow and material availability.

  • Prepare trailers for loading, unloading, and removal from docks; secure loads and ensure trailers are shipment‑ready in accordance with DOT and site requirements.

  • Store slab rubber and safely manage overturned slab pallets using approved material handling equipment and safe work practices.

  • Receive and perform required sampling of inbound auxiliary materials in accordance with quality and inspection standards.

  • Maintain compliance with all safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements, including DOT and site‑specific policies.
     

Physical Demands / Work Environment

  • Ability to work 12‑hour shifts, including standing, walking, and remaining on feet for extended periods.

  • Frequent operation of forklifts and other powered industrial vehicles.

  • Ability to drive commercial vehicles as required to support site operations.

  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering materials within warehouse and production environments.

  • Work performed in an industrial manufacturing and warehouse setting with exposure to noise, temperature variations, and moving equipment.
     

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements as required by site operations.

  • Ability to safely operate forklifts and warehouse material handling equipment.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of safe material handling, shipping, and receiving practices.

  • Ability to work extended shifts and comply with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
