At Michelin, we are seeking an individual with a strong work ethic and drive for success to join our team as an Industrial Progress Engineer (Entry/Experienced) in Norwood, North Carolina. As an Engineering professional, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our organization by implementing strategies to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and accelerate progress actions to improve productivity and operational efficiency in one or more areas of the company.
  • Apply the Michelin Way tools and/or Lean methodology to effectively implement progress initiatives.
  • Develop the autonomy of operational teams to effectively steer continuous progress.
  • Implement job study methodology and/or Lean approach to improve the performance of the entity.
  • Ensure the "basics OI" (Operational Indicators) are in place and maintained, including TU (Technical Availability), TRO/TRS (Overall Equipment Efficiency) and activity monitoring.
  • Establish standards and control mechanisms to drive consistency and excellence.
  • Collaborate and exchange effective strategies within the progress network.
  • Successfully manage change to ensure smooth implementation of progress initiatives.
  • Empower operational teams to take ownership of their progress initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in driving progress initiatives and implementing process improvements.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean methodology and tools.
  • Strong skills in managing transitions and effective communication.
  • Proficient in collaborating effectively with diverse teams.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for operational excellence.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
