Exciting times at Michelin, our Junction City facility is going through a 100-million-dollar investment and expansion project. That means we are looking for a strong Industrialization Process Control and Method Manager to join our team. This position will start as a transitional role project managing aspects of the expansion project, after which it will develop into standard line support. 

 

This opportunity is in Junction City, KS Ag Track facility, located between Salina and Manhattan in the heart of Northeastern, KS. With the current expansion, we will be one of the best automated and tech-savvy facilities in the region serving the ever-growing agriculture industry. Mission: 

Responsible for the process: “Mastering Production Evolutions” 

Manage a multidisciplinary team (Product Function, Indus Mat, Uniformity Technicians, HQRI Method Technicians, Measure Definition Technicians, MTP Technicians, Curing Rep, Technical Assistants, etc.) according to the plant structure, which delivers to Obtention, robust industrial models that are adapted and optimized to plant manufacturing processes, as well as delivers the Methods to achieve Quality, Cost and Deadline Objectives. 

 

THIS OPEN POSITION IS LOCATED ONLY AT THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS: JUNCTION CITY, Kansas 

 

Responsibilities:  

  • Lead and manage a team size of 5-10 employees 

  • Define Plant PDI (Industrialization Plan) and all its components, and follow for Product, Material, Process, and Methods domains. 

  • Provide MC technical support 

  • Provide definition referentials to shops, following standards of the Central Model (eg: green, cured, material, cure law, interfaces & joints, auxiliary materials) 

  • Provide method referentials to shops respecting Central standards and contribute to the finished product conformity 

  • Risk Analyses related to evolution/creation (PMPM²) are completed and updated regularly 

  • Implement best practices for Quality Assurance Methods, Central Standards (Uniformity, measurement, statistics, architecture, fiches techniques (FTP, FTC), and MMW/MDW

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor in Engineering required 

  • 4 - 8 years minimum experience in manufacturing required 

  • 3 years minimum experience in a leadership/supervisory role is required, preferably in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated flexibility in leading and training people 

  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team by setting clear goals, providing regular feedback/coaching, leading by example, and fostering a positive work environment 

  • Critical thinking skills to analyze situations/data, find root cause, and implement solutions to eliminate and reduce the risk of recurring problems 

  • Analytical skills to objectively examine data, recognize patterns and make connections between seemingly unrelated ideas and concepts 

  • Project Management Experience
