Michelin is hiring! We are looking for an IT professional who is passionate about programming & analytics to join our company and be a key player of our IT Industrial team.
The opportunity
We have an immediate opening in Fort Wayne, Indiana for a Junior Programmer Analyst. You will be part of a multi-functional agile team with direct responsibility for creating, updating, removing and controlling the integrity and quality of system applications around a large industrial site. This role will collaborate with other hardware and software engineers to implement solutions to enable operations to effectively run production at scale. You will also assist in the introduction, assessment, and implementation of new technologies needed to develop digitization processes.
This opportunity is in Woodburn, Indiana in our BF Goodrich tire plant. Woodburn is a small town located about 30 minutes east of Fort Wayne, IN. Fort Wayne is the cultural and economic center of northeastern Indiana and the second largest city in Indiana. Established in 1961, our plant makes passenger and light truck tires.
What you will do
Apply methods and practices to manage the full life cycle of data from creation or acquisition to disposal
Analyze problems and issues
Handle resolutions and corrective actions or raises issues as needed
Guide others in using data and associated information systems
Request for data quality rules evolution to improve data quality.
Recommend and steer action plan to improve data quality
Manage all or part of developing internal website solutions displaying and reporting data from start to finish.
Front-end and back-end work on existing website, as well as developing new solutions to address new processes or new solutions.
What you will bring
- B.S. Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Data Science
- Good communication abilities, embodying integrity while engaging with external partners, suppliers, customers, and colleagues across different levels within the organization.
- Proficient in use of html / CSS / JavaScript / C# / JAVA.
- Interest in automation, machine learning/AI, and cloud computing.
- Strong teamwork, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail, data accuracy
- Comfortable working with Business Process Owners to identify issues and develop solutions
