THE OPPORTUNITY

We have an immediate opening in Peosta, Iowa for a Quality Engineer who will be responsible to ensure the most efficient use of raw materials and reduce post-manufacture waste to meet established quality standards.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Ensure delivered products and assemblies are aligned with quality standards and are manufactured within specifications.
  • Work with our customers and suppliers to provide the correct PPAP, Control Plan, and PFMEA documentation for the products we assemble.
  • Meet the quality and efficiency performance by following the “Right the first time” principles.
  • Mentor and coach operators to ensure that manufacturing standards are followed.
  • Follow up on process performance in terms of capability and productivity.
  • Participate in quality planning for products, materials, processes, and methods.
  • Provide feedback on compliance and standards to management.
  • Develop guidelines and standards for operators.
  • Anticipate obstacles consider next steps.
  • Presents information in a confident manner.
  • Demonstrate the effectiveness of implemented actions.
  • Support the EMS, QMS an H&S systems including requirement of ISO 9001 ad 14001.
  • Perform other duties and assignments whenever needed.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • 2-to-4-year degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Quality or related field is preferred, but not necessary if candidate has enough relative work experience.
  • Excellent social skills, including the ability to interact in a professional manner with external partners, suppliers, customers, and colleagues at all levels of the organization.
  • Collaboration, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and process/product relationship knowledge.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office® 360 Suite and ability to become proficient in internal software systems.
  • Familiarity with quality protocols and understanding of ISO requirements is preferred.
