Quality Process Engineer (Entry-Level/Experienced)

THE OPPORTUNITY
We have an immediate opening in Fort Wayne, Indiana for a Quality Process Engineer who will be responsible for leading and handling optimization of their designated manufacturing process within our facility. Initial Training will include formal classes and on-the-job mentoring under an experienced area expert.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Ensure that delivered products are compliant with quality planning models and are manufactured in compliance with obtention standards.
Meet the quality and productivity performance goals defined by the shop using “Right the first time” principles.
Anticipate customer, product compliance, and quality performance risks, and implement actions to reduce those risks.
Effectively address and process all non-conformities and performance shifts within your process.
Contribute to the Quality section of our annual continuous improvement plan and participate in project planning for changes to products, materials, process, and methods.
Lead audits and problem-solving meetings to address causes of quality and performance problems.
Mentor operators and quality team members to improve the application of our standards and reaction responses.
Take part in continuous improvement activities and follow up on actions implemented.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Material Science Engineering with a strong manufacturing background. 1-3 Co-Op or Internship rotations are preferred for entry-level candidates.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact in a professional manner with external partners, suppliers, customers, and colleagues at all levels of the organization.
Strong teamwork, leadership, and organizational skills.
Effective problem-solving skills and process/product relationship knowledge.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office® Suite and ability to become proficient in internal software systems. Demonstrated ability to use software systems for data mining and data analysis.
Familiarity with quality protocols and understanding of ISO requirements is preferred.
Attention to detail, data accuracy.
