KEY EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Designs materials meeting specs [cahiers des charges], factoring-in R1, R2, and R3 risks in their designs.

  • Builds with methods (using databases, bibliographies, efficient designed experiments, ...), and uses material studies enabling achieving the target properties.

  • Participates in handling nonconformities and expert quality inspections.

  • Summarizes and sends their results to the metier and to their partners.

  • Assures capitalization by issuing reports, summaries, etc. to sustain the metier.

  • Performs patent analyses and contributes where appropriate to patent applications and freedom-of-use studies.

  • Applies the key principles and key steps of an eco-design approach in their domain of activity, and knows the referents.

  • Participates in the technical training of designers.

  • Applies tools and methods in their projects (proposes analyses and prognoses based on the tools and methods), gives feedback about the tools.

  • Represents their position in Design Events.

To accomplish this mission, the SF1 designer relies on the behavioral competencies expected for the position, and the ICARE behaviors for all.
