In the role of Upstream Materials Industrializer, you will be instrumental in hastening the introduction of new material and process technologies to the market. Your duties will involve guiding the industrialization of complex materials and introducing fresh technologies to meet product and industrial performance targets while handling associated risks. Your proficiency will be crucial in spreading these advancements to other plants, ensuring Michelin's continued industry leadership.

Job Responsibilities

Industrialization and Management of Associated Risks

  • Lead the SF industrialization of upstream materials.
  • Participate in risk assessment and formulation of action plans.
  • Define and implement tests according to test plans, conduct objective technical syntheses, and suggest actions based on the findings.
  • Interact with Methods to define process evolutions needed to support the implementation of new technologies.
  • Prepare capitalization reports to detail key findings from industrialization trials.
  • Develop deployment dossiers for future deployments on similar and other PvT.
  • Aid in the deployment of these materials and technologies to other plants.
  • Coordinate all trial activities.

Technical Support for Current Processes

  • Assist the workshop in solving complex issues on a limited basis.

Métier Training and Expertise

  • Provide expertise and support to local and central industrializers by offering advanced training on processes and new technologies.
  • Act as a tutor in the métier, animating and crafting training courses.
  • Engage in industry networks (Central/Local) to exchange knowledge and standard methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, emphasizing the industrialization of intricate materials.
  • Proficient understanding of risk assessment and strategies for minimizing risks.
  • Proven experience in leading and coordinating trial activities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to assist in technical support.
  • Outstanding communication and training skills, with experience in crafting and delivering training courses.
  • Ability to travel as needed, particularly within Anderson county.
