About the Role
As a Mechanical Support Technician (Experienced) TUS at our Tuscaloosa facility, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our manufacturing infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure Safety Compliance: Strictly implement risk prevention plans, including safety requirements such as LOTOTO, HV/LV maneuvers, and compliance of work and equipment.
- Validate Electrical Licenses: Confirm that all staff electrical licenses are up-to-date and valid.
- Develop Maintenance Plans: Build and update maintenance plans for transformers, protective devices, substation visits, and thermographic analyses.
- Provide Efficient Assistance: Respond promptly to operational maintenance demands, addressing breakdowns and implementing corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
- Recommend Projects: Propose site annual plans focusing on risk analysis, durability, and prioritization to improve operational efficiency.
- Reduce Maintenance Costs: Implement strategies to reduce maintenance costs and improve Total Recordable Safety (TRS) metrics.
- Monitor Power Consumption: Measure and monitor network load, power factor, and overall power consumption.
- Adapt Equipment: Adjust equipment specifications to meet evolving energy requirements, ensuring selectivity, appropriate cable sizing, and protection measures.
- Validate and Provision PdR Lists: Ensure provision of validated PdR lists for seamless operations.
- Improve Skills Development: Provide tutoring, mentoring, and training, including developing training documents and maneuver instructions.

- Experience: Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, maintenance planning, and risk prevention strategies.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Outstanding troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
- Attention to Detail: Strict adherence to safety and compliance standards.
